The Cerebral Development Reading Collective by Jep

The Cerebral Development Reading Collective is basically a book club. I want everyone to be able to see as much as I see and who knows maybe you may see other things I do not and discover things about yourself you have never known before. I have chosen various works of art for you to read up on. This collective selection of books are to expand your mind and develop it into a thinking machine. I want people to be able to have boundless ideas and thoughts; Things that society has conditioned us not create, we are not simple, we are not zombies. We are hungry beautiful monsters and our minds need a feast.

I hope that you at least try some of these books and this will be an ongoing mission to bring in new people into this collective group and bring them into the light of wonder and mind expansion that they deserve. We all deserve to have the doors unlocked and our imaginations let loose.

Here I have provided you with a list of books to start reading up on:

The Next 100 Years: A Forecast for the 21st Century George Friedman

[Synopsis] A fascinating, eye-opening and often shocking look at what lies ahead for the U.S. and the world from one of our most incisive futurists.

In his thought-provoking new book, George Friedman, founder of STRATFOR—the preeminent private intelligence and forecasting firm—focuses on what he knows best, the future. Positing that civilization is at the dawn of a new era, he offers a lucid, highly readable forecast of the changes we can expect around the world during the twenty-first century all based on his own thorough analysis and research. For example, The U.S.-Jihadist war will be replaced by a new cold war with Russia; China’s role as a world power will diminish; Mexico will become an important force on the geopolitical stage; and new technologies and cultural trends will radically alter the way we live (and fight wars). Riveting reading from first to last, The Next 100 Years is a fascinating exploration of what the future holds for all of us. [By B&N]

Cosmos Carl Sagan

[Synopsis] The best-selling science book ever published in the English language, COSMOS is a magnificent overview of the past, present, and future of science. Brilliant and provocative, it traces today's knowledge and scientific methods to their historical roots, blending science and philosophy in a wholly energetic and irresistible way. [By B&N]

Empire of the Summer Moon S.C. Gwyne

[Synopsis] A stunning historical account of the battle between Comanche Indians and white settlers for control of the American West—-in the tradition of Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee. [By B&N]

I hope you will enjoy these as I have. I hope to eventually bring in a new book every week or two. Let the learning begin.
